Well it is true. Seem as though only 2 days of LID were done this time. That is just crazy. They say there were a lot dossiers in this batch over those 2 LID's but then some of the bigger agencies didn't even have any. Also they say it has something to do with Chinese New Year. So who knows. Many people are also now saying 3 yrs...If that is the case, Jack will be 5 yrs old. I just have so many mixed feelings about this I can't even sort them all out.

Rumors are coming in

There a site called the Rumor Queen that has all the latest rumors about referrals, travel dates, etc. The rumors about referrals usually start about a week or so before they come in. Europe seems to get them a day or two before the US. Referrals also only seem to come out once a month during the first week or so. So today is April 6th. The last referrals were March 5th I believe. They are saying they think they will be here on Monday. That is the 9th. Referrals also cover a specific time period (number of days) It would be nice if I can say there is an average per month, but there isn't. The number seems to be all over the place. Hence the reason for this post. The rumor is that this batch of referrals only covers 2 DAYS. Yes that is what you read. 2 friken days!!!!!! Is that not insane or what??? How in the heck are we ever going to get our precious daughter if this keeps up. The news of last months referrals put me into an ugly cry because I really realized how long this was going to take but this just makes me angry. Just to put it into perspective for you the dates are Oct 25th and 26, 2005. My LID is 12.25.06. ummmm can you say this will take forever.

The beginning of our journey

This is my first post for the journey to our daughter. About the only information we have on our journey so far is our log in date (LID). This date is 12.25.06...Merry Christmas to us! For those of you who don't know what this is it is like a tracking number. Every bit of information that we get about the process is all related to what LID's are getting referrals, travel dates, or even where our paperwork is in China. Just to give you an idea of how long of wait we are in for the LID's that are getting referrals in April are the end of Oct 2005 and beginning of Nov. 2005. Yes, I said 2005 that is not a typo. We are not anticipating getting a referral until Aug/Sept 2008. The wait is on! So I will probably not have too much to post about for a while.

I need to start doing some reading and information gathering so I will post stuff as I get it. Many people add links and things to their sites and I will hopefully learn how to do that. I feel like such a dunce when it comes to this stuff. If I am going to post from China someday I better learn.

Oh by the way...can you belive that me...high maintenance Ali...is going to China someday? Turns my stomach just thinking about it. But hopefully by then, after reading all these blogs from people already traveling I will be an expert and won't stress about it as much (ya right!)
