Happy Birthday My Sweet Boy!

Well today is his birthday! He is officially 4!!! Holy smokes! Where did that 4 yrs go.

This is what I saw at 1:11AM on May 1st, 2004. This is how he came out. He wasn't all slimy and gross. He was perfect! We were so blessed to have been there for his birth. We drove his birthmom to the hospital so I saw him born. It was an amazing experience.

Here he is in his "take home" outfit from the hospital. Look at that face!

This is his 1st birthday

2nd birthday

3rd Birthday (his haircut got a little too short..I cried)

That brings us to today. This is my grown up boy!

Today he has school so it was our snack day again. I made big chocolate chip cookies for each child. I skipped the gift bag. What is it with all these gift bags for everything!! Then 3 of his friends are coming to McDonalds with us after school. I didn't want to have this huge party. He is only 4. So I picked the one boy from his class that he is close with. Then two of our outside friends boys. He loves french fries so that is about the best treat for him for his b-day. I don't know what we are doing in the evening. He doesn't have any favorite foods or favorite place to eat so I am sure it will just be PBJ like always! We have a few gifts for him. His big present is that we are going to an indoor water park in a couple weeks. We really need to spend some time together as a family.

Munchkin is turning into an amazing little boy. He is so smart and talks non stop all day. He still loves his trains. He hasn't had them on the tracks in some time. They are now just pulled all over the kitchen and hallway floor. (they go faster) One thing that keeps my little guy little is his love of sucking his two middle fingers and his binko (blanket). He still loves the security of those two things. We cannot get him to stop sucking those fingers. They are just always wet! ewww. That darn binko is now dragged everywhere around the house. Up until last fall the rule was it stays upstairs. Until he got really sick and I caved and let him have it downstairs. Well you can guess that rule went out the window. Half the time if is laying in the middle of the kitchen floor. I do have to say it has never been outside or left the house(unless he was at a sleepover). I do draw the line somewhere. I think the only time he is sitting still is when he is watching TV. (yes he does watch to much) Otherwise, he jumps around all day. Running, jumping, sliding, skidding...you name it. As people say to me in the stores "my he has a lot of energy". Don't you just want to slap those people? He is a 4 yr old boy, of course he does! His new favorite show is Scooby Doo! So now he goes around the house saying Scooby dooby doo! It is very cute! His other favorite saying is "fire in the hole" he says this for numerous things like throwing things, jumping off of things...but it all time favorite time he uses it is when he is peeing... He will be in the bathroom and right as it is coming out he yells "fire in the hole!" Yes it is funny!

Happy Birthday Munchkin! I love you!

Jacks' B-day party

Here is my birthday boy.

I can believe my little guy is going to be 4 on Thursday! Where has the time gone. He is really turning into a little boy with all his actions and they way he does things. He was loaded up with swords and gun type toys yesterday. He didn't get one train! LOL I made sure of it. There isn't really anymore he could get! He did get his big boy bike.

So it was the family party. Very small. It was a nice day. It wasn't warm out so they couldn't go out and play. Jack did have to go out and ride the bike of course. He was so cold he asked for gloves. So then he was good and they went around the block quick. He looks SO big on it.

I did try to get one family picture of us since we hardly ever take any. It turned out OK. I am all hunched over so I look weird!

I am taking him and 3 other friends to McDonald's on Thursday after school. So not a full blown party...just a couple of our friends.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK!

My Birthday!

Happy Birthday to me!

Today was a really nice day. It started with everyone in my house sleeping till after 10:30! However, I would have liked to been up and enjoy the quiet time to read my blogs! LOL The weather outside was just wonderful today. The perfect spring day! So I spent part of it sitting at my patio table reading a magazine..I was getting hot!

I came downstairs this morning to find these!

The vase is so pretty! I have one in reds a little bit bigger and I love it! I also got a gift certificate from Munchkin for a massage! My sister gave me a GC for a spa too that I plan on using on pedicures. I got some money from my mom and brother. My mom's money is to buy a new picture for my family room if I can ever find one. The my SIL gave me a gift card for a store that I asked for to buy some clothes!

Yesterday was my parents 50th wedding anniversary!!! Can you believe it! Today they took us all out to dinner to celebrate!
Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

We gave them a trip for two the the winerys in MI. I think she was a bit shocked becuase she had no idea what she was getting. Then we also decorated the table with some confetti,, ballons and those other things you see in the pic below. Also, if you look at the picure there are also these boards we made with pictures of them and family. They turned out really cute and she was again very suprised that we went thru all the trouble. The last gift was that my Neice came home from college. She didn't think she was coming so she was shocked!! I missed taking a pic of her face when she saw her! I had just turned my camera off and they walked in and I couldn't get it on fast enough. It was priceless though...mouth hanging open! LOL
So overall it was a wonderful day!
Oh wait..one last thing....when the first waiter came with our appitizers Munchkin wanted to ask him a question and said "excuse me...food officer?" It was so funny! He just came up with that all by himself! Muchkin was ok overall. I brought his own food and his leapster that kept him busy...however after he played it for a few minutes the batteries went dead...AHHHH. Luckily there was a store almost next door and we got some new ones! Phew! Otherwise that would have not been pretty! LOL

Prayers for Stacey

I am saying plenty of prayers, but thought the more the merrier. My friend Stacey had her bone marrow transplant on Wed and is having a really hard time right now. They say the few weeks after are pretty rough. I just can't image what she is going thru.

I love you girl and know you will pull thru this!!!

Please say a prayer for my friend today!

Thank you

The Other Bath Pic

This is for my friend Dana. She remembered the hooded bath picture. I actually have two of them. One is from his 1st bath ever! So here he is a day old and then again 5 months old.

Isn't he just so snuggly! I have the first picture in a frame in his bedroom. Look how wittle he is!

Missing in Action

Well I can tell you that this blog has now become last on the priority list. The motorcycle season is upon us which means that I am working on and off all day and night. I now have no time to myself and am feeling a bit overwhelmed already! For those of you that don't know we have two businesses. They involve motorcycle exhaust manufacturing and selling for sportbikes (some of you may call them crotch rockets). I also sell misc. motorcycle accessories online. Mr. T also has a full time job. So this is all on the side. I won't get into all the "I wish this would go away" stuff. We are stuck in this for a few years to pay down the debt to get it all started. Hopefully we will come out ahead in the end. So far it is turning into a nice thing...but taking up every last minute we have. Mr. T is never home. I have to do paperwork and shipping where I can throughout the day. Am I whining? Sorry. I guess it is just my excuse why I won't be on here as much during the next few months. Please do keep checking back. Oh and the last thing some of you may be wondering...no I don't ride. Mr. T really got into this when his dad got sick. He got the "you only live once" bug and went out and bought a bike. Ask me if I agreed. But now somehow, against my better judgement, we have two businesses revolving around the darn things. Go figure!

I was looking thru some pictures of my little man today while I was trying to find a picture of Stacey. So I thought I would just post these

Look at that sweet face!! (5 mos old)

This is when he really started to get the baby chunk! (6 mos old)

So as long as we are on the subject of Munchkin...here are some funny things he has said or done

  • We were doing a puzzle. When we were done he put his arms in the air and said "it is a perfect masterpiece"!
  • We were in menards towards the back and there was all this noise. Then a worker came out and he asked the guy what is going on in the back. The man answered that they were moving all the stuff to different parts of the store. So Munchkin asked him if they were "Bringing all the stuff out to keep it away from bad guys". Then went on to tell the guy that "ya cause those guys will swoop right in and take all your stuff".
  • Looking up in the sky he says "I see a big flock of birds mom" What 3 yr old uses flock?
  • One morning when he woke up and came in our room he was wondering why only two adults were in our bed. He asked "if I was an adult can I sleep in this bed too"?
  • One morning he was trying to talk to Mr. T while we were trying to wake him up. If you know my husband..he doesn't wake up. So Munchkin just said "I think his talk is broken"
  • so he started riding his trike outside. Next thing I know he says..."look at my figure 8 mom" Huh..how did he learn that. Oh ya, that Max and Ruby show
  • We have had a few warm days here so the kids are out and about. The neighbor girls were walking around the block with some friends. He puts his hands on his hips an says "just were do you think you girls are off too"?
  • Tonight at dinner out of the blue he just looks at me and says "I don't want to go up to heaven and die mommy. I want to stay here with you". Where do they come up with this stuff.

Ok here is where I really have to brag. We were at my moms the other day and he always grabs this paper and pencil by her chair and starts to draw. Well he started making letters. He started with A and just kept going. He wrote almost every letter with the exception of 2 or 3. Now we have worked on his name and maybe a few other letters with an actual writing utensil. But where he got all these from...I was blown away. My little smarty pants!

So I hope if you live in a place that has winter that it is starting to get warmer there and things are starting to bloom! I have daffodils! Makes my day!

Secret Pal Gift for April

This is the secret pal gift for the month of April. The theme was bedtime things. I love the pink blanket. It has flowers and butterflies on it. Then the butterfly PJ's. The Johnson and Johnson stuff is a travel kit!! It will be perfect for the trip. Thank you to my secret pal!!! Can't wait until next time!

***for those that are new to this and don't know what the Secret Pal is....it is from one of my China boards that we have secret pals that send out gifts for our future daughter every other month. There is a theme t it. For example, June's theme is Celebrate Daddy!~ Make Dad feel good for Fathers Day or Summer Fun. There is a spending limit, but I always tend to go overboard..go figure!

The weather was beautiful here today. It is 6:40 and it is still 59 degrees!! Spring is finally here. I am sure we will still get some bad/cold weather...we always do. I cannot wait for the daffodils and tulips to fully come up. There are getting there! Today I finally saw some buds on the trees!!

Hope you are all having a great weekend.
