Kids will be kids

So I had the guy here today working on the sprinkler system. We had a broken head and a few that needed to be moved. So as we were testing out the final stuff Munchkin sees that they are on. Of course he comes running out of the house and runs thru them. OK once is fine, I tell him to stop. Child + Spinkler = wet fun!! So I say fine...take off your shirt you can run thru them. I go back inside to to get a towel...look out the window...and he is buck naked running thru the yard. I think he thought I was was going to get his bathing suit! So as I call him over, the sprinkler guy comes back with my paperwork and just starts laughing. My nephew was here cracking up as well. He was just too cute all BA in the yard. If I wasn't so concerned I would have gone and got the camera..but didn't want anyone else to see him!

June Secret Pal Gift

I wanted to thank my Secret Pal! This was the reveal month and it turns out we each had each other!! I just love this dress!! The baby's room is done in polka dots so this was just perfect. The little crab cup it very cute as well. Now I just have to try and keep it away from Munchkin. He loves to chew up all the straws.

We have a pretty quiet weekend. It is going to be a beautiful day today. I am going to try and trim some of my bushes. Maybe get a bit more sun while I am at it. Momma is white. I know the sun is bad for you, but I just need a little!

My MIL is having brunch for us tomorrow at her house. Tom of course has to go to the warehouse at some point.

When we went to Karate on Wed Munchkin was the only one there. They have a new summer schedule and most of the are now going in the morning. He didn't like being the only one there. So this morning when Tom was going to take him he just said I am quitting Karate. I am not going anymore". Well we tried to explain to him that there were going to be kids there and he wouldn't be alone. Then he tried to tell us that it was too early for Karate. I did have to wake him up for it since it started at 9. He still refused to go. So we were really trying to find the best way to get him to go without forcing him kicking and screaming. (which I wouldn't do). So we explained that he got to take a trial class and liked it so we signed him up for 4 weeks. Karate cost money and we don't get it back if he quits. After today he only has to go 4 more times. So if he wants to quit, to make up for the money loss he has to give us something here at home for the next two weeks and he can't play with it. We said like his (new favorite toy) the outdoor remote control car. So he hopped right up, put on his clothes and left with Daddy! ROFL. Mr. T and I were looking at each other the whole time trying to figure out the best way to handle it. I think giving us something to make up the cost was a good solution. He is at Karate and I am home alone!! Woo hoo! LOL...although...I do have to go trim bushes...after I enjoy my coffee in peace!

I am one busy boy!

As said by my son this morning. I was telling him about his week. Swimming, sport class, karate and a birthday party.

We started swimming today.. OEY! Does this kid listen to anyone? The lessons are at the Welness Center at the high school. So there were a lot of HS kids that were instructors. Since it was the first day they broke them into small groups to asses them. So Munchkin was in a group of 3. They wanted him to sit on the steps of the pool. Again, let me repeat. They asked my son to SIT...which he doesn't do. So as all the other kids were sitting nicely he was jumping up and down, laying back and floating on the steps, walking away in the pool. The teacher had to keep grabbing him and putting him back on the steps. As she was trying to do something with the other kids one at a time he would just get up again. The minute he got in line for the class he didn't stop moving his mouth. He was talking to all the HS "girls" that were teachers. He loves the ladies! They made the parents sit way up high in the bleachers so we were away from the kids. Then I saw the teacher tell one of the the others..."this one is so energetic!" My she was being nice! LOL I of course had a long talk with him on the way home. I said honey you have to listen. His response "I can't, I just love to swim!" Tomorrow should be fun! The class is Mon-Thurs this week and next week.

That brings us to this afternoon. He had a Sport Sampler class at a local church that has a huge athletic program. They did basketball today. They don't let you watch at all so I have know idea if he listened or not! Probably better that way. That class is Monday's only for 6 weeks.

This is our 2nd week of karate too. He is doing OK. He likes it. It is only a 4 week class. I don't know yet if we will keep doing it or not after this time is up. Karate is 2 days a week so it is a bigger commitment.

I know it sounds busy and it is...but it is mostly for June. I don't have anything else planned for the summer. There is a week vacation bible camp at the preschool he went to the end of July and I think I will do that. It is cheap and at the school he knows so I think going everyday will be OK.

Nothing is really new with me. I have my 17yr old nephew helping me with the shipping for the business for the summer so that is a bit of a relief for me while I keep Munchkin busy.
