Fun with Bubbles

Here is a little slide show of our fun last night. Taking a bath is super fun for Munchkin because he only gets to use Mommy's big tub on the weekends;otherwise he takes showers. (there is no bathtub in his bathroom)

Munchkin Musings

So this morning Munchkin is sitting at the kitchen counter eating his breakfast. I am emptying the dish washer and he says

"If I was an adult I could do all that for you so you wouldn't have to do it. But I want to stay a kid so I can play with toys all day. That looks boring."

It just came out so funny.

He really has been into singing lately. The Nora Jones song "No one" is his favorite. He has also started to bust a move a bit. I could never get this kid to dance. Although what and how he is actually dancing makes Elaine from Seinfeld look good!

For some reason when I take his clothes off at night he rubs his butt on the carpet like a dog!! He scoots all over...ewww Now we have a dog, but he doesn't even do it very much so I have no idea where he got it from.

Something is up with him. He hasn't been eating much the last week. he says he isn't hungry. He has had the hiccups a few times and complain about a tummy ache and being tired. Not sure what to do about it. I will give it another week and hope he is feeling better. Don't know what it could be.

Today is my sisters B-day HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISSY! She is going to come over tonight for dinner and a movie! Otherwise I don't have any plans for the weekend. I have a few things that need to be organized around here for the business. I have taken on some new duties and have to find the space to do them in.

Hope you all have a nice weekend.

More Easter Pictures

This week is spring break.  He does only go to school two days a week, but it makes a difference.  Tuesday he had a friend over all day and today my mom is taking him for a bit.  Otherwise, we haven't done anything special.

Yesterday was a nice day out.  We went to Home Depot and got some sand for the sand table. If you are in the market...get a table...that way they don't sit in the sand.  It is awesome.  When it is warm out you put water on the other side.  He just loves it!  I was able to start on some yard clean up while he was playing.  Ok these old bones are not used to doing anything.  My back is sore today.  Today is 38 and raining.  YUCK!  Things are slowly starting to poke out of the ground.  I just love to watch things grow.  I walk around my house and see how much thing have grown over night.  I have tulips and daffodils that are out about 2-3 inches.  I am guessing that in a week or two we will start to see some buds on the trees!  I am so sick of this winter!

Happy Easter

Hope you all have a great Day. I am having 12 for dinner and a few more will come later for dessert. I am excited to see my neice. She went to China for school and got back yesterday. I am excited to hear all about it.

Here are a few pics from this morning. He woke up way too early 6:50. He usually sleeps until 8:30 or later. So I wasn't even up. He carried the basket in my room and dropped it so every thing fell out. I had to hurry and get the camera that was in the hallway. Then I realized that I put his snowman PJ's on! Oh well. Looks silly to have Easter with snowman PJ's on

Gotta love the sleepy face in the last one!

Munchkin and his Trike!

Munchkin got a new trike about a month ago. Last year he wanted nothing to do with peddling. We are planning on buying him a bigger bike with training wheels for his brithday. So this kids needed to know how to peddle. So at target I pick up this Radio Flyer one. Not thinking of the size, I bring it home and it is too small. As soon as he got on it he peddled away, no problem. What a difference a year makes. Of course he fell in love with it and there was no way I was able to return it. Then we went to a friends house who had a Lighting McQueen (Cars movie for those of you that don't know) trike. So then he said "mom the only way I will get a new trike is if it is McQueen". So I found one at Amazon..and well you can see for your self below.

And this is how he likes to watch TV now.

This is just an updated picture of my almost 4 yr old boy! Haven't posted one in a while.

What American accent do you have?

Oh this was a fun one! At least it was dead on! I got this from the ebay mom blog!

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Inland North

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

The Midland
The Northeast
Philadelphia
The South
The West
Boston

If you don't know, I am from Chicago and we do call it pop!!

The Amaryllis

Since I can't seem to find the time to post I will at least post the flower. It bloomed around March 10th.

Also there were referrals done the first week of March. The only did 6 days again. However, I can finally say that they are in 2006!!! They got trhu January 4th. Gee only 355 more days until they get to my LID of 12.25.06...(pouting)

I swear I will hopefully get back to things here soon. I miss doing this. I think of things often that would be a good topic or something cute that Jack does, but don't ever write it down so then it is gone from my brain in about...30 seconds. Please don't leave!

This is too funny!

I took this from another blog I read. Thanks Jennifer!

An actual letter from an Austin woman sent to Proctor and Gamble regarding their feminine products. She really gets rolling after the first paragraph...

Dear Mr. Thatcher,

I have been a loyal user of your 'Always' maxi pads for over 20 years and I appreciate many of their features. Without the Leak Guard Core or Dri-Weave absorbency, I'd pr obably never go horseback riding or salsa dancing, and I'd certainly steer clear of running up and down the beach in tight, white shorts. But my favorite feature has to be your revolutionary Flexi-Wings. Kudos on being the only company smart enough to realize how crucial it is that maxi pads be aerodynamic. I can't tell you how safe and secure I feel each month knowing there's a little F-16 in my pants.

Have you ever had a period, Mr. Thatcher? I'm guessing you haven't. Well, my time of the month is starting right now.

As I type, I can already feel hormonal forces violently surging through my body. Just a few minutes from now, my body will adjust and I'll be transformed into what my husband likes to call 'an inbred hillbilly with knife skills.' Isn't the human body amazing?

As Manager in the Feminine-Hygiene Division, you've no doubt seen quite a bit of research on what exactly happens during your customers' monthly visits. Therefore, you must know about the bloating, puffiness, and cramping we endure, and about our intense mood swings, crying jags, and out-of-control behavior. You surely realize it's a tough time for most women. In fact, only last week, my friend Jennifer fought the violent urge to shove her boyfriend's testicles in to a George Foreman Grill just because he told her he thought Grey's Anatomy was written by drunken chimps. Crazy!

The point is, sir, you of all people must realize that America is just crawling with homicidal maniacs in Capri pants. Which brings me to the reason for my letter.

Last month, while in the throes of cramping so painful I wanted to reach inside my body and yank out my uterus, I opened an Always maxi-pad, and there, printed on the adhesive backing, were these words: 'Have a Happy Period.' Are you f****** kidding me? What I mean is, does any part of your tiny middle-manager brain really think happiness - actual smiling, laughing happiness is possible during a menstrual period? Does anything mentioned above sound the least bit pl easurable? Well, does it?

FYI, unless you're some kind of sick S&M freak girl, there will never be anything 'happy' about a day in which you have to jack yourself up on Motrin and Kahlua and lock yourself in your house just so you don't march down to the local Walgreen armed with a hunting rifle and a sketchy plan to end your life in a blaze of glory.

For the love of God, pull your head out, man! If you have to slap a moronic message on a maxi pad, wouldn't it make more sense to say something that's actually pertinent, like 'Put down the Hammer' or 'Vehicular Manslaughter is Wrong', or are you just picking on us?

Sir, please inform your Accounting Department that, effective immediately there will be an $8 drop in month ly profits, for I have chosen to take my maxi-pad business elsewhere. And although I will certainly miss your Flex-Wings, I will not for one minute miss your brand of condescending BS.

And that's a promise I will keep. Always.

Best,

A Poem for a Special Friend

I saw this today on Suzzcq's blog and the second I started reading it I thought of my dear friend Stacey and her recent loss of her son Henry. I emailed it to her, but wanted to share it here as well. Very touching

What Makes a Mother
Written by Jennifer Wasik
In Memory of Zachery Wasik

I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today
I asked "What makes a Mother?"
And I know I heard Him say.

"A Mother has a baby"
This we know is true"
But God can you be a Mother,
When your baby's not with you?"

"You, you can," He replied
With Confidence in His voice
"I give many women babies,
When they leave is not their choice.

Some I send for a lifetime,
And others for the day.
And some I send to feel your womb,
But there's no need to stay."

"I just don't understand this God
I want my baby to be here."
He took a deep breath and cleared His throat,
And then I saw the tear.

"I wish I could show you,
What your child is doing today.
If you could see your child's smile,
With all the other children and say...

'We go to Earth to learn our lessons,
Of love and life and fear.
My Mommy loved me oh so much,
I got to come straight here.

I feel so lucky to have a Mom,
Who had so much love for me.
I learned my lessons very quickly,
My Mommy set me free.

I miss my Mommy oh so much,
But I visit her every day.
When she goes to sleep,
On her pillow's where I lay

I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek,
And whisper in her ear.
Mommy don't be sad today,
I'm your baby and I'm here.'

"So you see my dear sweet ones,
your children are okay.
Your babies are born here in My home,
And this is where they'll stay.

They'll wait for you with Me,
Until your lesson's through.
And on the day that you come home
they'll be at the gates for you.

So now you see what makes a Mother,
It's the feeling in your heart
it's the love you had so much of
Right from the very start.

Though some on earth may not realize, you are a Mother.
Until their time is done.
They'll be up here with Me one day
and know that you are the best one!"

Bad Blogger...Bad Blogger!

Ok, I was getting really into this blogging stuff, but the last two weeks have kicked my butt. I feel like I can't get anything done, there hasn't been enough time in the day and I am super frustrated and taking it out on everyone around me. I won't bore you all with the details of my life because really I am just being Nelly Negative! I am just stuck in situations that can't change at the moment the only thing that can is my attitude towards it all. I have good days and bad. Currently something else is winning and it is pessimism. I need to find a way out of it!

Saturday all the girls are going to our friends new house in Michigan for an overnight girls get away! I think it is what the Dr. ordered. I hope we can get some good ole girl talk in. Good laughs and even talk about our lives as moms so you don't feel so alone all the time. It is only Sat to Sun...I think I need a week! LOL I will make the most out of every min!

So hopefully I will come back next week with something a little more optimistic to say.

Oh wait..I do have something wonderfully, fantastic to say......My friend Stacey found a donor match!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is starting all her treatments this month. I wish her all the best. It will be a long battle, but stay strong sweeite. Keep up the optimissim you have (what I am lacking). I know this will be hard, but you can do it!!! FTC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
